DC Diplomats Attend APRC-Atlanta General Meeting
The Ambassador of the Gambia at the Washington DC Embassy, U.S.A accompanied by a high powered delegation was in Atlanta this weekend at the invitation of the APRC Chapter, to grace the occasion of their annual general meeting.
The three-day occasion started on Saturday and had attracted many APRC Militants across the Metro Atlanta community.
In his opening remarks, the Chairman of the Chapter, Mr. Batch Samba Jallow welcomed the guests and thanked them for making the long trip to the City of Atlanta to witness this important day of their calendar. “We are very pleased to see some one who was once part of our Chapter to come back to us a diplomat” he added. He challenged his team of APRC supporters to follow the food steps of president Jammeh and move the Gambia to a higher height. He called on members to be actively involve in promoting the APRC agenda.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Faye extended President Jammeh’s greetings and expressed their appreciations to be invited as guests to this noble occasion. ” The most important aspects of our lives are working and praying” the Ambassador Faye told the crowd. He urged them to abide by the laws of the land and make meaningful contributions to the so-economic development of the Gambia. He again thanked them for not being part of those bad elements who are bent on tarnishing the image of the Gambia.
on his part,Mr. Pierre Minteh, the Protocol and Welfare Officer at the Embassy
expressed similar sentiments. Mr. Minteh challenged the APRC militants to support the vision 2016 Food Self-sufficiency. Also present was Mr. Omar Jallow, APRC Chairman of the North Carolina Chapter.
Other Speakers included Mrs. Amie Nyang-Baldeh, Fatou Ndure, Maimuna Khan,Dawda Touray,Bai Ebou Gai, Victor Sambou,Basamba Drammeh and Alh. Lamin Lamin Saidy.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Malick Mbye and Islamic prayers was conducted by Imam Ismaila Jallow,Imam Ali Bah while Victor Sambou offered prayers on behalf of our Christian friends.
